mplayer -cache 8192 /dev/dtv works fine, so long as I use dtvsignal to set the channel. Hmmm, now that you mention it, once in awhile I'd get a "can't find card" type error, but dtvsignal always seem ...

I ran the md5sum on the origial file and it matched. I can't check to see if mplayer handles it until I get home this afternoon though.

I captured the file with:

getatsc /dev/dtv >sample

Thanks for taking a look. I renamed the file, and would be happy to FTP it someplace if you like.
