Does anybody know of a way to find the bitrate of transport streams captured with pcHDTV during or after capture?

I could probably calculate it by capturing some data for a few seconds after tunin ...

I think it has to do with the input and output buffer sizes that dtvstream uses. I don't know a good way to choose the best buffer sizes given the wide range of performance different linux systems ...

One last clue. If I run dtvstream on my local stations' SDTV streams (~500K/sec), it never loses sync. It only loses sync when it's extracting their HDTV streams.
