Hi,

Anyone know how to record from the HD3000's composite and stereo inputs?

I can get video, but no audio using:

mplayer tv:///1

And mencoder works, but again, no audio.

Most HD channels around here carry multiple PIDs for audio and video. Is there a way to get xine to select a particular set of PIDs?

I am using the vanilla xine v0.99-4.10.

Rusty, thanks... I figured out the problem. One must also install the xine-lib-devel package! Otherwise, xine is missing certain plugins. And you are correct, no need to patch anymore.

Yes, it is possible. Basically, get the HD3000 working. Then, once the th1020a is installed, do: modprobe -v dvb-bt8xx

Rusty (pcHDTV_tech): is it still necessary to patch the current xine (for fedora core 6: xine-0.99.4-8 ) as you described earlier in this thread in order for xine to let you tune/watch TV with the HD3 ...

Ok, I figured out one of my questions.

I now know why xine was not able to show one of the channels. The data that came out of dtvscan for the channels which were disabled was not correct.
