OK, I've fixed it. Turns out I had made dvb_core part of the kernel, instead of a module. This effectively ignored /etc/modprobe.conf and rebuilding things with dvb_core as a module fixed the issue. ...

I found the problem! Very Happy

You MUST load the 'tuner' module as well as the cx88xx module, and you should specify 'tuner=47' as a parameter to the cx88xx module. Works fine then through tvtime for UH ...

Hmm. I'm out of easy answers. Have you tried just one card at a time? Have you made sure a regular TV works with the particular cable you are using?

If you can receive a NTSC signal OTA, then you can probably also receive an ATSC signal. Unless you are trying to use cable as the source.
