Did you create a channels.conf file for xine? if so could you post it?

This may well be the problem. The file is pasted below. It's the result of running

./dtvscan -q -dvb 0 -fx -o ~/.xine/channels.conf

I'm trying to capture QAM frequencies off my cable. On the ones listed below, this was what dtvscan gave me as it came to them:

channel = 82 QAM_256
Signal: 100
look for sync
PAT found ckets
could only read -1 bytes from device
`ERROR vct item ptr null couldn't get channel info

Here's the list. It's missing descriptions... could that be the problem? Is there a workaround?

Also, here's the relevant section of the BUG-REPORT.TXT:

gui_xine_open_and_play():
mrl: 'dvb://',
sub 'NONE',
start_pos 0, start_time 0, av_offset 0, spu_offset 0.
input_dvb: continuing in get_instance
xine: found input plugin : DVB (Digital TV) input plugin
input_dvb: Frontend is <LG Electronics LGDT3303 VSB/QAM Frontend> US Card
input_dvb: Card has no hardware decoder
input_dvb: expecting 28 channels...
input_dvb: found 28 channels...
input_dvb: invalid channel specification, defaulting to last viewed channel.
input_dvb: tuner_set_channel failed
xine: input plugin cannot open MRL [dvb://]

So clearly it's failing on the channel spec... the problem is if the scan isn't finding enough information for the channels, is there some way to trick xine into playing them anyway? getatsc can capture these channels, by the way, so I know they're there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
