I just ordered a Dell "UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand." The quoted text is courtesy of Dell's web site. I should get this on Tuesday 12/7. It's a 16:10 LCD flat panel. The question is: What does one have to do to get it to work under X Windows? Come up with the right mode lines I guess.

Good luck,

This is not half bad, it is 16:10 instead of 16:9 which makes a diff to me, but for $800, that's a good deal for 1680 x 1050 @ ~60Hz

This is probably what I'll buy if I can't find a better one.

As for the modline.. it should be trivial. Just use the xvidtune. Though generally it's faster to google. Here's what I found after literally 15 seconds: http://www.webservertalk.com/message589836.html

Anyone else got suggestions?
