I seem to be having a problem with my capture card.
My hardware setup is described somewhere in the middle of http://g-ding.tv/?q=node/1563 .
I have about 2GB of lines in /var/log/messages files, where the vast majority of entries are similar to:
Nov 11 14:15:59 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 28 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:16:00 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 25 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:16:49 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 11 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:21:31 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 28 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:21:32 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 23 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:21:32 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 29 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:21:32 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 4 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:21:33 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 25 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:25:33 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 17 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:25:34 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 20 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:25:35 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 5 buffers handled (should be 1)
Nov 11 14:28:55 localhost kernel: cx88_wakeup: 24 buffers handled (should be 1)
There are times when I have severe stuttering while watching OTA HD, other times there is no problem. When the stuttering is happening, /var/log/messages if full of lines like the above. When there is no stuttering, on or two line like the above are logged every few minutes.
Can someone explain what this means and maybe how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
