Hello - my first post.

I can see the analog TV signals but I have been unable to get the OTA HD signals to work. I have about 8 sub-channels ie. 8-1, 13-1, 16-1, 16-2, 16-3 in various HDTV formats, 720p, 1080i but I have been unable to display them

Is there also an IRC channel available for pcHDTV ?

Regards...Martin

What method (application) are you using to view them? How do you know what channels you have, did you use the scanning app to scan for them?

If you have a channels.conf file made from scanning, you're well on your way to viewing HDTV. I recently set up Kaffeine to watch OTA HDTV. I think that it is easier to use that mplayer. Here's a thread on the Kaffeine forums where I explain what I had to do:

OK - I can see it in the myth-setup now and watch HD/OTA

Now I have to figure out how to see the analog channels.

Is their an IRC channel ?

Thanks

Support for the pcHDTV cards is almost non-existent. It's a pity, because these cards were pretty popular in the Linux community. Because of the poor support, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, especially at the high price that they cost.

If you want to use the analog tuner in MythTV, there should be an area to set up the analog side of the card in the card setup page. This would be in the mythtv-setup application.
