Hi All,

If you're having problems with your HD-3000 driver, you might be interested in the following.

I have the Bullet-Proof fixes from last year working with the latest v4l-dvb hg CVS.

It should work with newer kernels. I didn't fiddle with the NTSC part so people tnat still need NTSC can still have it.

You may find the patch and some diagrams about it here:

http://atscap.sourceforge.net

You will also need the latest hg/CVS from linuxtv.org.

Good luck!

p.s. "modprobe cx8802 i2c_hw=1", or similar options in modules.conf, for fast signal scans and microcode loading with no CPU bog.

The developer link from the sourceforge page goes to a non-responding webserver. Could you check it for validity? Or if there is some other link to follow to obtain the driver could you repost here? Thx.

Hey Inkling, I'm trying to download the your latest modified HD3000 driver from here:
http://70.244.53.199/hd3000/hd3000.html

But all I get when I click on the "my custom DVB-API drivers for pcHDTV.com's HD-3000." link is a 0 byte file. Do you have any mirrors anywhere?

I may have been re-organizing the web site at about the same time-frame when you were trying to download it.

If you still need it, please try again. Be sure to follow the link from sourceforge because the IP address of the web server has changed yet again.

I had to revert back to the January 15 2006 CVS codebase for my custom HD-3000 fork.

The later hg/CVS (mercurial) codebases are completely useless crap, at least for me and my HD3000s.

Good Luck!

Inkling,
Is it possible for you to put this patch up at a new link or could I get it emailed to me?

Thanks
