tivo wins lawsuit, do pchdtv users pay?

tivo just won lawsuit against echostar about the technology to record one program digitally while watching another progam simultaneously.
Sounds like the one click amazon.com suit.
Gee It sounds like I just discovered that I had a fast enough machine to multitask. Jim Hatch...
too many lawyers, we are suing/entertaining our country to death.

It seems Tivo has a valid patent for the technology and Echostar could have simply licensed it.

did pchdtv license it? If I build a Dragon or MYTHTV dvr do I have to pay when I sell one? Or even make one for myself?
