HD5500 and analog setup

I just got my pchdtv card in the mail today and tried to get it setup. I told it in the setup cable-hrc, and I tried both the pchdtv V4L and generic analog V4L in the mythtv setup. When I go to watch TV, all I get is a bunch of white noise on the screen. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Sam problem within tvtime, and kdetv can't scan for any channels...

I thought just the kernel drivers needed compiled for dvb, didn't realize I needed to for ntsc as well. All fixed, well sorta, still have no audio but I'll figure that out soon (I think my line in may be screwed up on onboard soundcard, so might just have to wait for my delta 1010 to come in the mail)

Can you clarify what you did? I'm having the exact same problem, for the moment I want to simply use my card for standard analog cable and neither myth nor tvtime are obtaining a signal. It sounds like you compiled the drivers for NTSC, what exactly did you do?

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I've tried setting it to pcHDTV and to just V4L, using all various other settings. I'm using Comcast, but no cable box in this room. I either get snow or just nothing, depending on what settings I use. What am I doing wrong?

Should I be loading some sort of ntsc drivers that I don't know about? I followed all the instructions that came with the card, and it seemed as though they were working, until no display.

Has anyone resolved this?

Do the following:
Code:
> /sbin/modprobe -vr cx88-blackbird cx88-dvb cx88-alsa cx8800 tuner dvb-pll
> /sbin/modprobe -v cx8800
> /sbin/modprobe -v cx88-dvb
> dmesg | tail -n 20

and post the output of that last command here.
