Video Game Consoles?

I was wondering if it is possible to use this hardware for HD display with the next generation of consoles coming out (or the current ones). Can I just use the component inputs and reap the benefit of 720p or 1080p(4:3) on my computer monitor? If I do this, and meet (or slightly exceed) the minimum hardware requirements, is there a noticeable delay in the picture and/or sound due to the processing strain this puts on a system?

I guess the answer is rooted in whether or not live TV has such a delay. Although, even if a delay was there for normal HDTV, as long as the audio and video was in sync, people wouldn't complain about it. Video games are a different matter since a live response is expected and any delay more than .1 seconds will probably be noticable and bad for fast paced games. I would most certainly assume pcHDTV does support HD streaming through software that interfaces with it. Are they generally fast enough and allow things like windowed/fullscreen/aspect ratio control?

Thanks for any help or answers on the matter.

The pcHDTV cards only have Coax and S-video inputs, there are no component inputs to the card. S-video will not give you anything "p" (progressive scan). The card is for pulling TV signals out of the air or some unencrypted cable stations off the wire, and the occasional s-video feed from a cable box or VCR. There is no "High-Def" input to the card at all.
