I have a 5500, and I am installing Mythtv from source on Suse 10.1.

When I installed the driver for the 5500, I put it into a directory in my home directory. Did the usual make/make install. xine-hd works great, so I know the driver is working fine.

When I compile Myth, I'm using the following configuration line:

./configure --enable-dvb --dvb-path=/usr/include/ --enable-xvmc --enable-proc-opt

In specific, where is the frontend.h file located? the "--dvb-path" option is supposed to point to the linux/dvb directory above it. I have several potential locations. At least one of those locations (/usr/include) caused the make to fail, with errors.

Where should I be pointing it to?

Never mind - a make distclean took care of the problem. My syntax was basically correct, I just didn't know that a regular good 'ol make can pick up artifacts of previous compiles.[/i]
