Man, someone really needs to clean up this board.

I've been "enjoying" my HD5500 for a few months now, but only to an extent. Once I got the card working, I was able to use mplayer's DVB support to watch HDTV off of my cable line. I then installed MythTV to begin taking advantage of the PVR features.

More pain I have not experienced than when configuring MythTV.

Suffice it to say, when I did get everything up, I had a few problems. Most of them are resolved now, but one staggering one remains; I can't watch 720p programming. I realize this is most likely an issue with MythTV and not with the HD5500 or its drivers, and I've tried to follow this up with them. I haven't gotten very far.

Here's what happens. I change to a 720p station, it takes a sec to sync up, then starts playing the stream. Then the video slows to about half speed and the audio blips in and out. It stays that way until I pause and play, then that only fixes it for about a second. It then returns to it's requisite crawl.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Do you have "extra audio buffering" enabled?
