Last night I was so happy that getatsc was able to retrieve a stream with

Code:
#getatsc -q 2 > test.mpg

But now the same command gets this repeated over and over again:

Code:
lgdt330x: lgdt330x_set_parameters: Modulation type(6) UNSUPPORTED
cx88[0]: irq mpeg  [0x100000] ts_err?*
cx88[0]/2: general errors: 0x00100000
cx88[0]/2: cx8802_timeout
KERN_WARNING lgdt330x: lgdt3303_read_status: Modulation set to unsupported value

I have tried unloading and reloading the drivers. I have tried rebooting. I have tried powering off and restarting a short time later. No help.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening?

The version of getatsc you are using is trying to use QAM-AUTO and the HD-5500 doesn't support QAM-AUTO.

But I'm using the dvb-atsc-tools-ker2.6.18 tools from here (I'm using kernel 2.6.18.6). Plus it worked one time.

What version should I use?

Thanks,
Kirk Bocek

Update:
I got as far as running mythtv-setup on this host. The channel scanner *did* find a bunch of channels (with IDs) on the DVB device. Fingers crossed -- might be working...

Further Update:
Got mythbackend installed and have made several short recordings, both SD and HD, from the mythweb interface. Looks like its working. Wish I knew what was going on with the tools.

Now I've got to figure out how to sync up the HD channels with the scheduling info from zap2it as well as why mythbackend is segfaulting when I try to delete a recording.

But those are questions for other forums...
