How to I set the contrast down on the pcHDTV card, it is set on the highest possible value? if I go and "G" every channel or set the contrast in the db down this is a software solution and causes dark area pixilation... I need to set it on the card prior to loading mythtv?

If you are talking about the digital portion of the receiver, then there is no contrast to set. It just captures a digital stream of information. Instead, you need to investigate the options on your output video card.

If you are talking about the analog portion, then I am afraid I can't help too much. There may be a gain/contrast adjustment, but again, I would investigate your video card options.
