Has anyone figured out what the extra port is on the tail end of this card? is there something we can get to go with this card to plug into it?

I was searching for the pinouts in the forum, are these pins duplicates of the conntections on the outside? I was hopeing for an audio out I could connect internally to my audio card.

Pin 5 is composite video in
Pin 7 is S-video in Chrominance (C)
Pin 10 is S-Video in Luminence (Y)

Pins 2 and 3 are sound input, not output, unfortunately. They go to 1Y0 and 2Y0 on the analog multiplexer, just like the front sound input jack. The output jack is connected to the 1Z and 2Z pins on the multiplexer (74HCT503). Probably the 1Y1 and 2Y1 pins are connected to the Conexant DACs, but I haven't checked that.

The other pins are grounds.

Anyone know what the white plug on the front of the card is for?

This is the male portion of the white connector on the back of the HD5500. Still trying to find out which grounds are which. Anyone have all 10 pins documented?

1Y1 and 2Y1 are connected to the DACs, pins 163 and 160 respectively. Both muxes are controlled by GPIO2.

3Z on the mux chip is conected to the Conexant chip's audio input and S3 is connected to GPIO7. 3Y1 is connected to the little circle labled TP1 (test point 1). 3Y1 and 3Y0 both disappear under the tuner so I haven't traced them, but one or both are probably connected to the tuner's IF audio output(s). Maybe one is for NTSC audio and one is for radio?

The grounds on the white connector are all the same. My guess is they put one for each signal to make the cable simpler.

If someone wants an internal audio output, the easiest way would probably be to solder connections onto the pins on the back of the 9-pin mini-din connector that has the audio output. If you look at the pins on the back of the card, they look sort of like this:
Code:
(1)
(2)  (6)
(3)  (7)
(4)  (8)
(5)  (9)

Pin 1 is left audio and pin 4 is right audio. Also 7 is composite in, 5 is s-video Y, 2 is s-video C.
