Trying to compile the driver for fedora kernel 2.6.18, but the make fails because of the missing subject file. I understand that this file was removed in the 2.6.18 kernel.
Am I missing something, or is there another driver download for 2.6.18? (i see a specific tools download...). |

I tried the driver off the download page, though it was marked only for 2.6.17 kernels, but it seemed to have fixed that particular error.
Not sure if this is the right way to go, but at least moving in the right direction. |

| have you found it to be more useful than the built in kernel modules? My problem is getting the analog stations. I an getting the HD channels now using the 2.6.18 built in kernel mods. |

| Same here. I also am usng 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5smp. The "only 2.6.17" fixes the problem for me too. (At least the modules will build). I assume "only 2.6.17" should read "2.6.17 and above". It was probably written when 2.6.17 was the latest kernel. Unfortunately the HD-550 is not working. Why is not more information provided at the pcHDTV ste. I mean some real simple stuff that should take but a couple of minutes. Like what to do if you have a 2.6.18 kernel. Why everyone seems to have problems with xine-hd. Why not use xine-lib 1.1.2 which has ATSC support now. ANyone know the answers to any of these? |
