Coax connector short?

I recently purchased a pcHDTV card from someone over ebay but it appears to have a very short coax connector coming out of the card - it falls just short of the hole in the back of the card where I should be able to screw my cable on.

Am I missing an extension piece that is supposed to be attached? or has something else happened to this card?

If it's a HD-3000, that's the way they were made. Mine has just a few threads sticking out, but enough to attach a coax cable.

My connector is also off center. I had to file away some of my PC case to keep it from contacting the case. It's a very poor design.

believe it is a 5500. And looking at the photo on the website makes me think that its supposed to extend further out.

What does the tuner say on it? The different models used different tuners.

The 5500 is using a LG tuner, where the 3000 uses a Oren tuner,

Is there anything like that printed on any of the parts?

This is only important if it is a 5500. It may be defective and possibly would be fixed by the manufacturer.

After peeling up the corner of the pcHDTV sticker I found the LG logo stamped on it.

You may want to contact pcHDTV support, if it won't work at all. Me, I'd try it first. I hear the support is rather spotty.

Bought a push on connector that fits through the hole in the back and attached snuggly that I can screw a cable onto. Now if I could only get the card to report a signal.

I think I know what you're talking about. Yes, there is a little extension that is supposed to come with the card. It's a small nubbin that slips onto the threads on the tuner and has some threads on the opposite side, away from the card.
