Hello all,

trying a dtvsignal shoots the CPU usage way up, and makes the entire system unstable, including mouse and screen redrawing. I can't even kill it. The output of dmesg is as follows (while running dtvsignal):

Code:
[17179704.052000] cx88[0]/2: general errors: 0x00020000
[17179704.052000] cx88[0]: irq mpeg  [0x20000] par_err*
[17179704.052000] cx88[0]/2: general errors: 0x00020000
[17179704.052000] cx88[0]: irq mpeg  [0x20000] par_err*

This repeats 2000 more times in a few seconds. My kernel is 2.6.17.

dmesg | grep cx88 on startup:
Code:
[17179603.752000] CORE cx88[0]: subsystem: 7063:5500, board: pcHDTV HD5500 HDTV [card=47,autodetected]

[17179604.732000] DVB: registering new adapter (cx88[0]).

Do you think I have a bad card?

I've had it about 2 months, and it just worked 1.5 weeks ago. I don't think anything changed recently...
