currently I have Tivo with Directv. I want to switch to HDTV soon. So, my question is:

If I get a directv HD receiver, can I plug pcHDTV to the output of the receiver and record HDTV programs.

The other question is how to change channels?

Thanks
Sorry

Sorry I wish it could do it, as I also have Directv. The only HD PVR for Directv is the HD-TiVo.

The pcHDTV can only receive RF. The HD-2000 currently only supports terrestrial (over-the-air) HDTV broadcasts. It is rumored that they are adding QAM support to the drivers for the HD-3000. Hopefully that will be something that is available soon. QAM will allow one to receive unencrypted cable HD channels from cable companies that use it.

Not really any choices unless you are interested in the stuff http://169time.com/ has. It is expensive though.

HTH,
David
