One problem that is already starting to occur is the dwindling number of PCI slots in new computers. It is hard to find a new motherboard these days with 3 or more PCI slots. Diehard users who want the full limit of 4 HDTV cards in their system have to keep an old power hungry computer around just to capture the streams. I'm not familiar enough with the spec to know if is possible that a card could be produced that is both compatible with both PCI and PCIe, but the transition from PCI to PCIe is already underway and the time is approaching when computers are going to be sold without any PCI slots at all.
A PCI express version of the card is definately something I would like to see in the future. |

I have a HD-5500 and HD-3000 and my pci slots on my micro atx board are now used up.
It sure would be nice to plug a pcHDTV card into the empty PCIe slot. |

I'm in the same boat. No PCI slots left - but got 2 pci-express slots.
I emailed sales@pchdtv.com and asked if anything is coming soon for this.
I hopefully await their answer. |
