I have MythTV running on Ubuntu and a HD-5500 card. It works but when showing the single local channel I can get at 720p it looks slightly squashed horizontally and I see what looks like a line of marching binary numbers at the top of the frame. I am using it at full screen on a Samsung plasma high def TV driven at 1360x768 by an nVidia 7300.

The data at the top of the frame is normal (it's really there); you can set your overscan settings to hide it. I don't know about the squashing... it seems hard to believe the 6 pixels (1366 x 768) actually make a difference, but maybe it does.
