Does the HD-3000 board require a different driver than is used HD-5500?
I am trying to use the HD-3000 board under Fedora 9, the kernel version 2.6.25-14. Can I use the driver that is supplied with this distribution or I have to build it from the source files from this site?
I tried to test my board using the dvb-atsc-tools-1.0.7 tools. The board itself has been recognized, but there is no lock in the signal., the dtvscan utility was not able to find any channel. My antenna provides
a good signal that was tested using a commercial HD receiver.
Is there any utility using which I can test my board especially the RF part of it?

Both cards use the cx88-dvb module, but they have different tuners. The HD-2000 and HD-3000 require firmware that is loaded when the card is initialized. The firmware can be dowloaded here:

http://pchdtv.com/downloads/firmware.tar.gz

Put it in the /lib/firmware folder (after you uncompress it). That should do it. If you want more info on what is happening when your system sees the cards, use this command
Code:
dmesg
