Hi,
I have a PCHDTV 5500 in my kubuntu AMD 64. I run MythTV and everything works fine. However, if I suspend to RAM, the card will not work afterwards, unless I reboot. Mythtv will not work, and if I stop the mythbackend server and try to use mplayer I get "dvb_streaming_read, attempt N. 6 failed with errno 0 when reading 2048 bytes". Any ideas?

You have to tell it to remove the kernel modules before suspending and reload them upon resuming. This is how to do it on sidux; ubu may be the same:

Create a file /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules containing this:

Code:

SUSPEND_MODULES="cx88_dvb cx8802 cx8800 cx88xx"

Make it executable:

Code:

chmod 755 /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules
