I just tried scanning for QAM channels that are in the clear on my
cable system and even though it found the Digital channels that are supposed
to be in the clear they are not digital, it found the analog version of the
channels, none of the other regular analog cable channels were found.

I'm a bit stumped on how to get Myth to recognize the digital channels instead.

I have an HD3000 and have been following the wiki:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Configuring_PCHDTV_card_for_ATSC

I'm also running this on Ubuntu Intrepid 64bit.

Code:
dmesg

The standard freq.works on the other sets in my house, si I tried Cable Standard,
I have tried the other freq. though...

Code:

I managed to get something using 8VSB??? I don't know what that is but here is some of
the output.. I'm under the impression I should be getting something on the Standard Cable
but sinc eI found something here, maybe I should be using this instead????

Code:
[0003]:491028615:8VSB:49:52:3
[0004]:491028615:8VSB:65:68:4
[0005]:491028615:8VSB:81:84:5
...

I was trying to use azap but having no luck with the above. I must have the command line incorrect? So how can I test this given that my chanel.conf is in my /home directory and my card is /dev/dvb/adapter1

Hopefully someone can help me understand what I'm doing wrong and how to get this going,

Thanks for your help.
