Hi everyone,

I've had my pchdtv card working perfectly for years under Gentoo. The last kernel distributed through gentoo was 3.5.7, the current kernel is 3.7.10. Not just pchdtv, but a lot of the config flags appear to have changed, and I can't seem to find the right config options to get it working under the newest kernel. Copying the .config file from the previous kernel doesn't get the job done.

Does anyone have a pchdtv card working under the 3.7 kernels? If so, please let me know what may have changed in the configuration.

Thanks!

Finally got around to fixing this. In case anyone else needs to know, I found the solution here:

http://www.mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2013-March/347358.html

The most recent Gentoo kernel is 3.8.13. I took my 3.5.7 kernel config, then went to Device Drivers -> Multimedia Support and added Analog TV support, Remote Controller support, and Media PCI Adapters. Then I was able to add modules for Conexant cx23416/cx23415 MPEG encoder/decoder support and Conexant 2388x (bt878 successor) support.

Built and installed the kernel, rebooted into it, and it was working again.
